I entered my first LO to vintageplum.com. I wasn’t chosen as the guest designer for the month, but was invited for an interview. So, check back for the link to that interview. I had a lot of fun making the page for the chipboard challenge. I think I did a pretty good job, but my page is still in my usual style. Clean, bright colors, and no journaling…unless you count the song title “Forever & Always” by Shania Twain. Still working on breaking out of my box.

IKEA

I was just looking for magazine files to expand my organization. I have IKEA ones and wanted more, but they don’t sell them online… However, IKEA is now only 40 minutes from my new house!!!! I’m going this Wednesday night to buy more holders and who knows what else? While browsing the site I downloaded their space planner and so now I’m dreaming of a new IKEA workspace. I’ll have to get it in bits and pieces, but one day I will have the perfect craft space brought to you by IKEA.

We’re planning to do some light updating to our kitchen and I definitely want IKEA items. That’s going in bits and pieces too. Maybe I can start getting some items since it’s so close! YAY!

Finished!

I finally finished the page about me and I love it! It was really fun to do this and I tried some new stuff…

1. I colored the edges of my photos with a yellow Zig marker.

2. I journaled!!!! I’ve never journaled before, but I thought it was completely relevant this time. It was fun, but as always I really think my handwriting looks messy. Computer from here on out.

There are only 19 more days left of school and then I’ll have A LOT of time to work on more things. Maybe I’ll finally make the scrapbook from our wedding nearly 3 years ago!?

Hello for the first time

So, this is my first blog ever and wouldn’t you believe that it has sparked a layout idea! While trying to find a good picture of myself, unsuccessfully, I thought that I need to maybe do a page about me. I’ve not done that yet and so I’ll be doing that tonight with the pictures I ended up having to take to find a good picture for this blog. I always scrap for other people – making gifts, filling orders… very rarely about me and my life. Tonight will be about me (and maybe some about my husband)! I’ll let you know how it goes.
